LOMOLD™ Process Technology

An innovative molding process was developed that delivers plastic commingled with long glass-fiber into a closed mold. Until now, no one has managed to achieve this in a cost-effective way, and it is a unique feature of the LOMOLD™ technology. The process enables the usage of very high performance materials at relatively low cost.

LOMOLD™ Material Development

Material formulations were developed in-house and mirror the formulations used in the automotive industry. The knowledge to manufacture these types of materials has traditionally been the guarded domain of very large suppliers such as GE Plastics, Dow Chemicals and Ticona. LOMOLD™ has gained the knowledge – through extensive R&D – to manufacture these materials in-house.

LOMOLD™ Machine & Manufacturing

LOMOLD™ partnered with CHUAN LIH FA Machinery Works Co (CLF), the largest injection molding machine manufacturer in Taiwan, to build LOMOLD™ machines according to its own patented designs. LOMOLD™ has manufacturing facilities in China, and support facilities in Malta and Cape Town.

LOMOLD™ Product Design

The LOMOLD™ Pallet has been designed with the user in mind – not merely to match the shape and size of a wooden pallet. The material properties offered by LOMOLD™ allowed the designers to incorporate unique features and functionality in the lowest weight GMA-specification pallet on the market.

LOMOLD™ Pallet System

The functionality offered by the LOMOLD™ Pallet design has led to the establishment of a new system – one that can significantly reduce pallet costs from losses and damages, while allowing users to adapt the pallet to suit their specific needs. The LOMOLD™ System also enables logistics savings and other functional options, such as the ability to use pallets as display dollies.
